VITTORIA VANGHELIS

Vittoria Vanghelis, nasce a Chiavari, Genova nel 1961.
Liceo Artistico e laurea in Architettura a Torino.
Vive alcuni anni a Parigi e nel 1988 si stabilisce a Milano.
Nel 1990 abbandona la professione di architetto per seguire la sua ricerca artistica. Si trasferisce a Chiavari dove vive e lavora.
La Non-Separazione dell’ uomo con ciò che sta intorno , è il nucleo centrale della ricerca di Vittoria Vanghelis .
Per il Gruppo Ferretti sperimenta l’opera rispetto allo spazio realizzando installazioni site specific nei grandi Yachts.
Si evidenzia, nel suo lavoro oltre alle installazioni site specific per il Gruppo Ferretti , la sua ricerca , dove l’uso dei mezzi espressivi è diversificato: pittura, fotografia, performance, videoarte.




Vittoria Vanghelis was born in Chiavari in 1961.
Achieving an Art School Diploma, she went on to graduate in Architecture in Turin.
After living some years in Paris, in 1988 she moved to and settled in Milan.
Then in 1990 she returned, after many years, to her home town of Chiavari to dedicate herself totally to artistic research, passion, experimenting and the desire to live in syntony with "what is around ".
The Non-Separation of man and its surroundings is the central nucleus of Vittoria Vanghelis' research.
Her study of perception of volumes has had an impact on her expressive language, interior life and her research through colour and matter that result in the realization of the first site-specific installation for the Ferretti Group.
This creation, her work, became unmovable, inseparable from the site, underlining the "noboundary"of the art work with space, time and man. It is highlighted in her work and research, other than the site specific installations for the Ferretti Group, a process where the use of expressive means is diverse: painting, photography, performance, and video art.
